SHARP and Kiwigrid solution "SmartChap" certified by VDE for interoperability

Dresden, August 17, 2016. In February 2016, SHARP presented the new Home Energy Management Solution “SmartChap” to the European market. Together with Kiwigrid the solution was developed and shown at the E-world 2016 in Essen for the first time. “SmartChap” optimizes the self-consumption with solar power as well as the efficient control of electrical consumers in private households.

Kiwigrid's Energy IoT Platform Kiwigrid is the heart of the solution. It has an open, secure, and highly scalable architecture as well as numerous interfaces available and device drivers for the integration of energy generators, storage systems and consumers helping SHARP to reduce their time-to-market significantly. Due to the Kiwigrid SaaS model, investment costs are also decreasing.

The VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. now certifies “SmartChap” for its interoperability with the VDE certification.
