BIT ist Gastgeber des ersten CloudStack User Group Treffens in Deutschland

Das „The Grand“ in Berlin, eine Event-Location mit einzigartigem Flair in historischem Ambiente, ist am 16. Juni für das CloudStack European User Group Treffen gebucht. Die BIT.Group GmbH wird die Veranstaltung ausrichten, zu welcher sich die Community zum ersten Mal außerhalb Großbritanniens trifft.

Darüber freuen sich nicht nur die Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus dem Cloud Bereich der BIT, sondern auch Giles Sirett, CEO von Shape Blue Ltd., dem weltweit führenden unabhängigen Integrator von CloudStack Technologien: „Seit 2013 trifft sich die CloudStack European User Group regelmäßig in London, um Ideen und Best Practices auszutauschen und Vorträge über Apache CloudStack und nahestehenden Technologien zu hören. Damit nun auch im deutschsprachigen Raum CloudStack bekannter wird, freue ich mich an der ersten Veranstaltung in Deutschland teilzunehmen. Vielen Dank an die BIT.Group GmbH für die Einladung nach Berlin.“, so Giles Sirett. Shape Blue hat die bisherigen Treffen organisiert, die mehrmals im Jahr in den Hallen von British Telecom in London stattfinden.

Die BIT setzt die Open Source Software Apache CloudStack  schon seit einigen Jahren erfolgreich ein und beteiligt sich auch an deren Weiterentwicklung. Natürlich sind in diesen Zusammenhang auch immer wieder Treffen mit anderen Experten aus diesem Bereich wichtig. Mitarbeiter der BIT waren deshalb schon mehrmals bei den CloudStack European User Group Treffen in  London dabei.

„Wichtig ist uns als BIT, die Apache CloudStack Community zu unterstützen und somit das Open Source Produkt und die Verbreitung besonders im deutschsprachigen Raum zu fördern. Gemeinsam können wir Anwendungsfälle diskutieren und publik machen. Auch Interessierte aus unserem Partner- und Kundennetzwerk sowie generell an Cloud Lösungen und Open Source Interessierte sind herzlich zu der Veranstaltung eingeladen“, sagt André Walter, Bereichsleiter Cloud Services der BIT.

BIT to host the first CloudStack User Group meeting in Germany

”The Grand“ in Berlin, a unique event location with a historical ambience, is booked on the 16th of June for the CloudStack European User Group meeting. BIT.Group GmbH will host the event in which the community for the first time meets outside of Great Britain.

The employees of BIT’s Cloud Services department are happy to hear this news. So is Giles Sirett, CEO of Shape Blue Ltd., the worldwide leading independent integrator of CloudStack technologies.

“Since 2013 the CloudStack European User Group has met regularly in London to exchange ideas and best practices, and listen to talks about Apache CloudStack and related technologies. To increase the presence of CloudStack in the German speaking area, I am looking forward to participating in the first event in Germany, and thanks to BIT.Group for inviting us to Berlin”, said Giles Sirett. Shape Blue has organized the past such meetings that are taking place several times a year in the British Telecom Centre in London.

BIT has been successfully using the open source software Apache CloudStack for several years and is also participating in its further development. In that respect, it is important for BIT staff to meet with other experts from that area. BIT employees have attended several CloudStack European User Group meetings in London in the past.

”It is important to BIT to support the Apache CloudStack community and thus promote the open source product and its market spread in the German speaking regions. Together we are able to discuss use cases and make them public.
