Die BIT und Heinlein Support laden zum ersten deutschen CloudStack User Group Treffen ein

Am 6. Dezember um 18 Uhr findet das erste German CloudStack User Group Treffen in Berlin statt. Von der europäischen CloudStack User Group inspiriert, wurde diese Gruppe gemeinsam von Mitarbeitern der BIT.Group GmbH sowie der Heinlein Support GmbH initiiert, um CloudStack-interessierte System- und DevOps-Ingenieure in Deutschland zusammenzubringen.

Bei den regelmäßigen, alle zwei Monate stattfindenden Treffen werden Vorträge zu verschiedenen CloudStack-Fragestellungen abwechselnd in Berlin und Dresden abgehalten. Beim ersten Termin beschäftigen sich die Referenten mit den grundlegenden Konzepten von Apache CloudStack.

Nach dem erfolgreichen, von der BIT.Group organisierten CloudStack European User Group Sommertreffen in Berlin möchte die BIT.Group mit der Gründung dieser German CloudStack User Group eine starke CloudStack-Gemeinschaft im deutschsprachigen Raum etablieren. André Walter, Bereichsleiter Cloud Services der BIT.Group ergänzt: „Seit Jahren sind wir bei der BIT.Group von Apache CloudStack und der offenen Community fasziniert. Deswegen wollen wir die Verbreitung der Open-Source-Software fördern; unser Ziel ist es, eine offizielle deutsche CloudStack User Group zu etablieren.“

Apache CloudStack ist eine Open-Source-Software für den Einsatz und die Steuerung von großen Netzwerken virtueller Maschinen als eine hochverfügbare, hochskalierbare „Infrastructure as a Service“ (IaaS) Cloud-Computing-Plattform. CloudStack wird von mehreren Dienstleistern verwendet, um öffentliche Cloud-Dienste anzubieten, sowie von vielen Unternehmen zur Bereitstellung von On-Premises (privaten) Cloud-Angeboten oder als Teil einer hybriden Cloud-Lösung.

BIT and Heinlein Support host initial German CloudStack User Group Meeting

The very first German CloudStack User Group meeting will take place on December 6 at 18:00 in Berlin. Inspired by the European CloudStack User Group, the group was initiated by BIT.Group GmbH and Heinlein Support GmbH employees in order to bring together systems engineers and DevOps interested in CloudStack in Germany.

The regular, bi-monthly meetings will take place alternately in Berlin and Dresden and host presentations on
various CloudStack topics. The kickoff meeting is dedicated to the basics of Apache CloudStack.

Following on from its successful organization of the CloudStack European User Group summer meeting in Berlin the BIT.Group is hoping to establish a strong CloudStack community in the German-speaking countries by founding the German CloudStack User Group. André Walter, Cloud Services Division Manager at BIT.Group added: “For years we at the BIT.Group have been fascinated by Apache CloudStack and the open community. That is why we now want to promote the dissemination of this open source software; our ultimate goal is to establish an official German CloudStack User Group.”

Apache CloudStack is open source software designed to deploy and manage large networks of virtual machines, as a highly available, highly scalable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud computing platform. CloudStack is used by a number of service providers to offer public cloud services, and by many companies to provide an on-premises (private) cloud offering, or as part of a hybrid cloud solution.
